Therapy
There are very few lucky people in this world who can go through life with no hardships. Well we don’t know if we can call them lucky because who we are in our darkest hours are our true selves. But regardless most people have had normal lives and have experienced strife and turmoil at some point in their lives. No one knows what the future holds for us. All we have in lives are our past experiences. Our past experiences shape and mold us into who we are today. Most people have their moments of gloom and moments we will never forget. Some people though go through life and experience things that are so traumatic that they are life altering. Some people are never the same after a single experience and others incur a life of misery and pain which forces them to become the person they are, which is usually not so nice. No matter what the case many people cannot maintain themselves and are mental and emotionally effected by their experiences. In times like this family and friends are needed to help heal these mental wounds. For most people this is enough to continue a normal life. Unfortunately there are those whose wounds are so deep that they require additional help. Such help can be found through counseling. Counseling may be seen by people as a last resort or only for crazy people. That is not the case. Thousands of Americans go to counseling in order to help deal with life’s everyday mess. Counseling can just be a way to “get something off your chest”. Otherwise the patients going to counseling would go mad and end up in a insane asylum. Even those who go to psychiatrics are not necessarily crazy. Many of these people are just individuals who have gone through a very traumatic experience in their lives’ such as a death of a loved one or rape. It takes strength to go through life but it takes even more strength to ask for help.
Some people do not like the idea of a therapist and turn to a more spiritual guide. Spiritual therapy can take many forms. The most common being religion. Many people turn to a higher power or an enlightening. Religion can be a great tool for mental steadiness. Religion provides order, purpose, fellowship, and best of all it provides hope. Many people lack hope in anything and thus go through life like “why bother” or “what’s the point of living”. Hope gives people something to live for. A recent turn around though has been occurring and many people are looking towards more occult and free spirited forms of worship rather than standard religions. Some people have gravitated towards Wicca which is a worship of nature and belief that everything has a soul. Many go to psychics and have their fortune’s read through tarot cards. Some say they can tell the future and possibly who they will marry. Many people have also looked inwards and believe the power of creation lies within the mind. There are hundreds of different spiritual beliefs to believe in and thousands of therapist all around the world. There are many options to choose from in order for a person to stabilize their life.
